At 9:13pm on January 5th, 2009, Harold Hurst said…: Hey J, Season ended here yesterday and the score is G'kids 1 and Deer 3, 1 by G'son, Miss by G'daughter, Excited and scare off by the youngest G'Son and a choose not to shoot due to age of the Deer by the last G'son (Proud of him) but they all got out, saw deer and want to come back and hunt with Grandpa! LOL

Good luck in your future hunts, hunt often, hunt safe, and share your sport with the next generation or it will not be there for them to enjoy!

At 7:45pm on December 31st, 2008, Harold Hurst said…: I didn't get to hunt opening week but the second week was great, Was in Tulsa up til late Friday with an uncle who was bad. Came home, Loaded up and headed south to my lease. Scouted Saturday and went to my Blind Sun Morning, at legal daylight an 18" wide /8 walked out and I dropped him, then went to glassing other deer, scanned back and thought my deer was trying to get up ( all I could see was its back just above the grass) he finally stood and turned, and I dropped him again, WRONG, I dropped an 1/8" wide 10 point, so the rest of season I have been taking grandkids, so far it is G'kids 1 Deer 2, with one more G'son to go this weekend. But they have had fun, saw lots of deer, and want G'pa to take them back. Thanks for asking! Now you gotta be pretty brave to chase storms! I was in Tulsa in 74 when it almost took east Tulsa and Catoosa away!
